The 2026 bridge inspections process is scheduled to shift to the vicinity of the Lower Trenton (“Trenton Makes”) Toll-Supported Bridge during the week of March 29.

The inspection activities are expected to trigger the following lane closures along NJ Route 29 where the highway passes beneath the bridge:

  • Wednesday, Apr. 1, 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. — left lane and shoulder of Route 29 southbound closed (one of two lanes open).
  • Thursday, Apr. 2, 9;30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. — right lane and shoulder of Route 29 southbound closed (one of two lanes open).

Motorists using Route 29 near the Lower Trenton Bridge are urged to reduce speeds and exercise caution while travel restrictions are in place.

Travel delays are not anticipated.

The scheduled travel restrictions are subject to change due to weather, emergencies, and other factors.
