Extended-duration traffic stoppages are possible at the New Hope-Lambertville (Route 202) Toll Bridge during overnight hours Friday, Nov. 21 into early-morning hours Saturday, Nov. 21
A Commission contractor needs to hoist and install an overhead all-electronic-tolling monotube across the highway on the bridge’s Pennsylvania side.
Traffic in each direction could be paused for more than 15 minutes (maximum 30-minute duration) as a large crane lifts the steel tube into place atop two pre-cast concrete towers installed earlier this week.
The Commission urges motorists to plan ahead by using alternate routes across the river if the anticipated work detail takes place as currently scheduled.
The Commission will provide more information as it becomes available during the week of Nov. 16.
