FRENCHTOWN, NJ – The Uhlerstown-Frenchtown Toll-Supported Bridge is expected to remain open to two-way traffic when temporary weekday detours end tomorrow afternoon, Friday, Nov. 21.
When the bridge reopens, only periodic flagger-controlled alternating single-lane travel restrictions should be needed to complete remaining tasks associated with the rehabilitation project that has been taking place at the bridge this year.
Remaining work includes –but is not limited to — “punch list” items, testing and calibrating roadway and architectural lights, spot painting, storm-water-inlet cleaning, pier repairs, electrical-system completion and testing, removal of the temporary work platform beneath the bridge, and removal of temporary project lighting along the bridge’s roadway deck .
