NEW HOPE, PA – The New Hope-Lambertville Toll-Supported Bridge’s recently installed color-programmable LED architectural lighting system is scheduled to be activated for several hours tomorrow night and possibly Wednesday evening as well, the Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission announced today.
The bridge lighting system will be examined by technicians for purposes of adjusting, calibrating, and programming the intensity and colors of the lights. The system, which was installed as part of a soon-to-be-completed rehabilitation of the bridge – is not expected to be fully operational until April.
The upcoming lighting system work is expected to begin shortly after 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 11, and continue for several hours. If deemed necessary, a second night of programming activity would occur during the same time period on Wednesday, March 12.
Note: The Commission does not currently control the lighting system; it is still a function of the project’s lighting and electrical subcontractors.
