The portion of Broad Street that crosses beneath the U.S. Route 22 viaduct leading to the Easton-Phillipsburg Toll Bridge is scheduled to be restricted to a sngle travel lane with alternating traffic controlled by flaggers 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, Apr. 14.
The travel restriction will enabled a Commission engineering consultant to evaluate the condition of the viaduct’s floorbeams , girders, and stringers.
Brief travel delays are possible.
Motorists are urged to reduce speeds and exercise caution. The travel restrictions are subject to change due to weather, emergencies, and other factors.
