A variety of off-peak daytime travel restrictions are scheduled to be implemented in the vicinity of the Delaware Water Gap (I-80) Toll Bridge during the week of April 20:
- River Road beneath the toll bridge on the New Jersey side — alternating traffic southbound, 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Monday, Apr. 21
- River Road beneath the toll bridge on the New Jersey side — alternating traffic northbound, 9:30 a.m. to noon Monday, Apr. 21
- I-80 westbound off-ramp to River Road – last NJ exit — lane shift, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, Apr. 21
- I-80 westbound on the toll bridge — single travel lane (one of two lanes closed) — 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, Apr. 22
- I-80 eastbound and westbound on the toll bridge — single travel lanes (one of two lanes in each direction closed) — 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Apr. 23
- RAIN DATE – I-80 eastbound and westbound on the toll bridge — single travel lanes (one of two lanes in each direction closed) — 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, Apr. 24 (if needed
The travel restrictions will enable engineers to inspect the toll bridge and related facilities in accordance with the Federal Highway Administration and the National Bridge Inspection Standards.
Motorists are urged to reduce speeds and exercise caution. The travel restrictions are subject to change due to weather, emergencies, and other factors.
