EASTON, PA – A series of lane closures that were scheduled to begin tonight at the I-78 Toll Bridge’s two-lane Express E-ZPass toll collection facility have been postponed, the Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission announced today.
The postponement is needed because of weather forecasts for thunderstorms, embedded heavy rains, and strong winds Sunday night. The foul weather would have interfered and compromised the pouring and curing of new concrete roadway slabs at the location Sunday evening.
The work will be rescheduled for later next week. A new travel advisory will be issued prior to that work taking place.
