Washington Crossing Bridge -- Motorists are urged to plan for a temporary closure of the Washington Crossing Toll-Supported Bridge from roughly 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Christmas Day, Dec. 25. Access to and from the bridge is expected to be blocked by state and local police as part of the annual reenactment of General George Washinton's crossing of the Delaware River in 1776. Alternate two-direction river crossing routes are the Scudder Falls (I-295) Toll Bridge to the south and the New Hope-Lambertville (Route 202) Toll Bridge to the north.
