Off-peak daytime lane closures are scheduled during daytime hours in the vicinity of the Easton-Phillipsburg (Route 22) Toll Bridge on Tuesday, Apr. 14, and Wednesday, Apr. 15.
The anticipated travel restrictions are as follows:
- Tuesday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. — Route 22 westbound approaching the toll plaza (cash no lonter accepted) in New Jersey, left lane closed (two of three travel lanes open).
- Wednesday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. — Route 22 eastbound left lane closed crossing the bridge from Pennsylvania into New Jersey (one of two lanes open).
The travel restrictions are needed so engineers can conduct measurements and other tasks associated with the design of a future open-road all-electronic toll collection facility at the bridge.
Travel delays are not anticipated.
The scheduled lane closures are subject to change due to weather, emergencies, and other factors.
