EASTON, PA – An additional set of overnight travel restrictions will be in place for the I-78 Bridges and Approach Slabs Rehabilitation Project along the highway near the Pennsylvania-New Jersey border.
The full schedule of project-related lane closures is as follows:
I-78 Westbound – Approaching the CR-519 Underpass in Pohatcong, N.J.
- One-lane travel pattern (two of three lanes closed) OVERNIGHT 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. Monday, Sept. 17 through Friday, Sept. 21.
I-78 Westbound – Approaching the I-78 Toll Facility in Williams Township, PA
- E-ZPass Express Left lanes closed OVERNIGHT 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. (next day) Sunday, Sept. 16.
I-78 Westbound – At Morgan Hill Road Overpass in Williams Township, PA.
- One-lane travel pattern (one of two lanes closed) OVERNIGHT 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. (next day) Sunday, Sept. 16.
I-78 Eastbound – At Morgan Hill Road Overpass in Williams Township, PA.
- One-lane travel pattern (one of two lanes closed) OVERNIGHT 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. (next day) Thursday, Sept. 16.
I-78 Eastbound – Immediately following I-78 Toll Bridge in Pohatcong, N.J.
- One-lane travel pattern (two of three lanes closed) OVERNIGHT 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. (next day) Monday, Sept. 17 through Friday, Sept. 21
Cedarville Road – Overpass across I-78 in Williams Township, PA.
- Alternating single-lane travel with traffic controlled by flaggers 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, Sept. 17 to Friday, Sept. 21.
Morgan Hill Road Bridge – Overpass across I-78 in Williams Township, PA.
- Intermittent single-lane closures with travel maintained in each direction at all times 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, Sept. 17 to Friday, Sept. 21.
The scheduled travel restrictions are subject to change due to weather, emergency, traffic, and project mobilization considerations. Motorists are urged to allow extra time to reach their destinations, to reduce speeds, and to exercise caution when travelling through project work areas.
