PHILLIPSBURG, NJ – The schedule of next week’s travel restrictions for the I-78 Bridges and Approach Slabs Rehabilitation Project near the Pennsylvania-New Jersey border is as follow:
I-78 Westbound – Approaching the I-78 Toll Bridge in Phillipsburg, N.J.
- Two-lane travel pattern (one of three lanes closed) 3 a.m. to 1 p.m. (next day) Tuesday, Aug. 28 and Wednesday, Aug. 29.
I-78 Westbound – Between the DRJTBC toll plaza and the Morgan Hill Road Interchange (Exit 75) in Williams Twp., Pa.
- OVERNIGHT restricted travel pattern after toll plaza 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. (next day) Monday, Aug. 27.
Labor Day Holiday Weekend – Under contract, project-related lane closures must be suspended from 6 a.m. Friday, Aug. 31, to noon Tuesday, Sept. 4.
The scheduled travel restrictions are subject to change due to weather, emergency, traffic, and project mobilization considerations. Motorists are urged to allow extra time to reach their destinations, to reduce speeds, and to exercise caution when travelling through project work areas.
