EASTON, PA – Final painting and road prep work for the I-78 Bridges and Approach Slabs Rehabilitation Project will require the following travel restrictions for the week of October 29:
I-78 Westbound – From Exit 3 in Pohatcong, N.J. (Phillipsburg/Routes 22 & 173 Interchange) to milepost 77 in Williams Township, PA (PA Route 611 underpass)
- Rolling rumble strip installation crew protected by attenuator trucks 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 31; no lane closures but motorists are urged to exercise caution.
I-78 Eastbound – From milepost 77 in Williams Township, PA (PA Route 611 underpass) to Exit 3 in Pohatcong, N.J. (Phillipsburg/Routes 22 & 173 Interchange)
- Rolling rumble strip installation crew protected attenuator trucks 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 31; no lane closures but motorists are urged to exercise caution.
- Two-lane travel pattern (one of three lanes closed) 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 31.
The scheduled travel restrictions are subject to change due to weather, emergency, traffic, and project mobilization considerations. Motorists are urged to allow extra time to reach their destinations, to reduce speeds, and to exercise caution when travelling through project work areas.
