POHATCONG, NJ –The established set of daytime and overnight travel restrictions will continue next week for the I-78 Bridges and Approach Slabs Rehabilitation Project along the highway near the Pennsylvania-New Jersey border.
The full schedule of project-related lane closures is as follows:
I-78 Westbound– Approaching the CR-519 Underpass in Pohatcong, N.J.
- One-lane travel pattern (two of three lanes closed) OVERNIGHT 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. Monday, Sept. 24 through Thursday, Sept. 27.
I-78 Westbound– At Main River Bridge
- Two-lane travel pattern (one of three lanes closed) OVERNIGHT 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. (next day) Sunday, Sept. 23.
I-78 Eastbound– Approaching CR-519 Underpass in Pohatcong, N.J.
- One-lane travel pattern (two of three lanes closed) OVERNIGHT 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. (next day) Monday, Sept. 24 through Thursday, Sept. 27.
Cedarville Road – Overpass across I-78 in Williams Township, PA.
- Alternating single-lane travel with traffic controlled by flaggers 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, Sept. 24 to Friday, Sept. 28.
Morgan Hill Road Bridge – Overpass across I-78 in Williams Township, PA.
- Intermittent single-lane closures with travel maintained in each direction at all times 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, Sept. 24 to Friday, Sept. 28.
The scheduled travel restrictions are subject to change due to weather, emergency, traffic, and project mobilization considerations. Motorists are urged to allow extra time to reach their destinations, to reduce speeds, and to exercise caution when travelling through project work areas.
