The following daytime and overnight lane closures are scheduled in the vicinity of the I-78 Toll Bridge between Tuesday, Oct. 15, and Saturday, Oct. 19:

Daytime

  • I-78 eastbound on NJ side of the toll bridge — single-lane closure (two of three lanes open) 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday;
  • I-78 westbound approaching the toll bridge from NJ and continuing across the bridge into Pennsylvania — single-lane closure (two of three lanes open) 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.

Overnight

  • I-78 wesbound (various locations) from last New Jersey exit (Routes 22, 122, 173/Phillipsburg interchange/Exit 3) to the PA side of the I-78 Toll Bridge — up to two lanes closed (one of three lanes open) 8 p.m. tp 5 a.m. (next day) on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday;
  • I-78 eastbound (various locations) from last exit in Pennsylvania (Morgan Hill Road/Easton interchange/Exit 75) to first New Jersey exit (Routes 22, 122, 173/Phillipsburg interchange/Exit 3) — up to two lanes closed (one of three lanes open) on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.

The travel restrictions will enable a Commission contractor to conduct work activities associated with a paving and improving project along the Commission-controlled I-78 roadway segment at the Pennsyvlania/New Jersey border.

The scheduled lane closues are subject to change due to weather, emergencies, and other factors.

Motorists are urged to reduce speeds and exercise caution whenever traveling through active work zones.
