Traffic stoppages of up to 15-minutes long in duration are possible in both directions at the New Hope-Lambertville (Route 202) Toll Bridge 8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 12, to 5 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 13.
The travel restriction is needed so a Commission contractor can hoist and install a pre-cast concrete tower along the bridge’s Pennsylvania approach.
The overnight work is part of a project that is converting the bridge’s former southbound cash-collection toll plaza to highway-speed open-road tolling involving E-ZPass and TOLL BY PLATE billing.
Motorists are urged to allow additional time to reach their destinations, exercise caution, and be prepared to stop if they plan to use the bridge late Wednesday into early Thursday.
The scheduled traffic stoppages are subject to change due to weather, emergencies, or other factors.
