LOWER MAKEFIELD, PA – A concrete pour and corresponding NJ-bound single-lane travel restriction has been added to take place overnight Friday into Saturday morning at the Scudder Falls (I-295) Bridge.
The additional early-weekend work was scheduled after rain forecasts forced cancellation of a concrete pour overnight Monday into Tuesday of this past week.
The Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission urges motorists approaching the bridge on I-295 EB from Pennsylvania Friday night, June 18, and Saturday, June 19, to reduce speeds and exercise caution if they use the Scudder Falls Bridge while the concrete pour work takes place.
Only brief travel delays – if any – are anticipated at the bridge because weekend traffic volumes are significantly lower than weekday commuting periods.
