NOTICE

A hydrological testing firm contracted by a Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission (DRJTBC) engineering consulting firm is scheduled to conduct soil tests (minimally invasive subsurface investigation) in the vicinity of the Washington Crossing State Park (New Jersey) during daytime hours on Thursday and Friday, January 22-23. The scope of work involves sampling of six temporary boreholes to satisfy NJ Stormwater Best Management Practices (BMP) requirements. The work is temporary; any ground disturbances will be addressed by the testing firm in accordance with the BMP Manual. Daytime Alternating Travel in Flagger-Controlled Single Lane Possible at New Hope-Lambertville Bridge Monday to Friday, Jan. 19-23

Flagger-controlled alternating travel in a single traffic lane is possible at the New Hope-Lambertville Toll-Supported Bridge between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. on Monday Jan. 19 to Friday, Jan. 23.

The travel restriction will enable work crews to troubleshoot the bridge's architectural and roadway-deck lighting systems.

The Commission urges motorists to be prepared to stop, follow flagger instructions, and exercise caution when crossing the bridge when there are active work details on the bridge.

The scheduled travel restrictions are subject to change due to weather, emergencies, and other factors.

Daytime Single-Alternating-Travel-Lane Flagging Operations Possible at Uhlerstown-Frenchtown Bridge Monday to Friday, Jan. 19-23

Motorists might encounter flagger-controlled alternating single-lane travel at the Uhlerstown-Frenchtown Toll-Supported Bridge 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 19, to Friday, Jan. 23.

The travel restrictions will enable workers with a Commission subcontractor to complete remaining elements of a recent bridge rehabilitation project or troubleshoot various systems and connections at or near the bridge.

The Commission urges motorists to reduce speeds, be prepared to stop, and follow flagger instructions whenever travel restrictions are in effect.

The scheduled traffic stoppages are subject to change due to weather, emergencies, or other factors.

Single Travel Lanes, Width Restrictions in Effect at New Hope-Lambertville (Route 202) Toll Bridge until Further Notice

The New Hope-Lambertville (Route 202) Toll Bridge is restricted to single travel lanes in each directions with a 10-foot width restriction in the southbound (Pennsylvania-bound) direction and an 11-foot width restrictions in the northbound (New Jersey-bound) direction.

The travel restrictions will remain in effect until further notice.

A Commission contractor is in the process of removing the former cash-collection toll plaza at the bridge. The Contractor will then erect an open-road cashless all-electronic tolling gantry in approximately the same location. The project also will involve repairs and improvements to the bridge’s Pennsylvania abutment.

Route 202 motorists approaching the bridge are urged to reduce speeds, prepare for lane shifts, observe size restrictions, and exercise caution.
