TRENTON, NJ – The elevated ramp that carries traffic from Route 29 south to Route 1 south and the Trenton-Morrisville Toll Bridge’s Pennsylvania-bound travel lanes is scheduled to be shut down for repairs during daytime hours on weekdays starting Tuesday, Oct. 29 and continuing until just before Thanksgiving.
The elevated ramp crosses over both directions of Route 29 north of Route 1 along the Delaware River waterfront in Trenton, N.J.
When in effect, the ramp closures will begin 6 a.m. and end 3 p.m. each weekday. The travel restriction will enable a Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission contractor to make extensive repairs to the elevated ramp’s concrete road surface.
Motorists are advised to follow the designated detour route that will be implemented to direct affected vehicles to Route 1 south and the Trenton-Morrisville Toll Bridge for travel into Pennsylvania.
The scheduled weekday ramp closures are subject to change due weather, emergencies, and other factors. Motorists are advised to reduce speeds and exercise caution whenever highway construction travel restrictions are in effect.
