PHILLIPSBURG, NJ – The I-78 Bridges and Approach Slabs Rehabilitation Project’s scheduled travel restrictions for the week of October 7 is as follows:
I-78 Westbound – From Exit 3 in Pohatcong, N.J. (Phillipsburg/Routes 22 & 173 Interchange) to Exit 75 in Williams Township, PA (Morgan Hill Road Interchange)
- Rolling line-striping crew with protection provided by attenuator trucks 6 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, Oct. 8, to Friday, Oct. 12; no lane closures but motorists are urged to exercise caution.
I-78 Eastbound – From Exit 75 in Williams Township, PA (Morgan Hill Road Interchange) to Exit 3 in Pohatcong, N.J. (Phillipsburg/Routes 22 & 173 Interchange)
- Two-lane travel pattern (one of three lanes closed) 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, Oct. 8 to Thursday, Oct. 11
Cedarville Road – Overpass across I-78 in Williams Township, PA.
- Alternating single-lane travel with traffic controlled by flaggers 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, Oct. 8 to Friday, Oct 12.
The scheduled travel restrictions are subject to change due to weather, emergency, traffic, and project mobilization considerations. Motorists are urged to allow extra time to reach their destinations, to reduce speeds, and to exercise caution when travelling through project work areas.
