The section of Broad Street that crosses beneath the Route 22 Viaduct in Phillipsburg is scheduled to be reduced to alternating single-lane travel controlled by flaggers 9 a.m. to noon Wednesday, May 31.
Backups and delays are possible. Motorists are advised to reduce speeds and allow additional time to reach their destinations when the travel restriction is in effect.
The single-lane travel pattern is needed for the biennial process of inspecting the Commission’s eight toll bridges.
The travel restriction is subject to change due to weather and/or emergencies.
